A native of Switzerland County and a Veteran’s Association Nurse by profession, Brian began chainsaw carving in 2007. He started by sculpting bears from river driftwood. People liked them and bought them. At this point his hobby became a passion and his skills developed quickly. Brian strives to create carvings that are a cut about the ordinary. His work is diverse in subject matter and ranges from benches to animals and more recently a life sized eagle. He has demonstrated his talents at chainsaw festivals in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Georgia. Existing works can be found at his outdoor workshop on East Main Street at Market Street in downtown Vevay.
